PPCF advised the management team of Routes Healthcare on their secondary MBO backed by Palatine Private Equity.
Routes is a high acuity domiciliary care provider for local CCG’s and private clients in the North of England with annual revenues of c.£27m. Headquartered in Macclesfield, Routes operates across 14 service centres to provide enhanced and complex domiciliary care for and supporting clients with a variety of healthcare needs, including palliative care, degenerative conditions, spinal injuries, brain injuries and also mental health and learning disabilities.
The transaction allowed the management team, led by CEO Jackie Lindsay, to enhance their stake in the business whilst also realising a significant proportion of the value they had helped create. Key Capital Partners, who invested in Routes in 2016, and founder Andrew Healing also retain a minority stake.
Tim Simpson, who led the deal for PPCF, commented “We were pleased to be able to help deliver this smooth transition. The ongoing potential of Routes is demonstrated by the desire of the existing investors to remain involved with the development plan mapped out by Palatine, Jackie and her team.”
